If it’s broke, why toss it? Let’s give our favorite things a second life—and keep them out of the landfill!
Join the Truckee Roundhouse and Keep Truckee Green for the bi-annual Fixit Clinics, a FREE community event where you can bring your broken electronics, furniture, clothing, outdoor gear, and more—and learn how to repair them with the help of our expert Fixit Coaches from the Truckee Roundhouse.
Repairing items is more than just practical—it’s a sustainable act. By fixing what we already own, we reduce waste and reuse the resources at hand instead of buying new. So far, Truckee Fixit Clinics have saved over 1,000 pounds of items from the landfill, from toaster ovens and wooden chairs to lamps, puffy jackets, and denim!
Bring in what you’ve got, and our coaches will help you tackle it. Even if the item isn’t fully fixed, there’s a huge learning opportunity in discovering why it stopped working and how you might prevent future breakdowns.
A few friendly notes:
For textiles and clothing, please limit repairs to 3 items per person.
Popular items like clothing may require a short wait, so thank you for your patience as our volunteers do their best to help everyone.
For more clothing or electronics repair opportunities, check out our free Reuse & Repair Workshop series at truckeeroundhouse.org/classes!
All tools are provided, and all ages are welcome—so bring the whole family!
Come learn, repair, and celebrate sustainability with us—let’s make broken new again!
