please note: it may take 3-6 weeks to schedule your New Member Orientation & Safety Checkout.

Please be patient, kind, and understanding as we respond to all of our new member applications. We believe in fostering a community of passionate, united makers, and it starts with a few steps to kickstart your membership and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in our shared space.

Haven’t seen the space? We offer Public Tours on Saturdays at 1 PM. We ask that you reserve your space online and in advance at www.truckeeroundhouse.org/schedule . Seeing the space is a great way to get to know how we run, what tools we have, and what our space is like.

You can find information about our membership fees on our Membership page. You will purchase your membership during your new member orientation.

There are four ways the community can interact with the Truckee Roundhouse:

1. By taking a class. All classes are open to the public. You do not need to be a member to take a class. We add classes weekly and you can find those announced in our weekly newsletter, or on our website at www.truckeeroundhouse.org/schedule.

Most of our classes are appropriate for ages 12 and above. If you are specifically interested in youth programming, you might want to check out the great offerings from the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District.

2. By Attending a Free Community Event.

3. By Becoming a Member. Memberships are for folks who have previous tool experience and can use the studio space independently. Don't have any tool experience yet? Then the best first step is to sign up for a class.

4. Through Our Youth and Community Enrichment Programs. In the past, we have partnered with great organizations like TTUSD, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, and many more!

All new members must attend a New Member Orientation and Safety Check-Out per shop that they hope to use. If you are already familiar with our facility and ready to purchase and sign up for a membership, please fill out the application below and we will email you the membership documents and New Member Orientation dates. If you do not receive a response in 7 days, check your SPAM. When you commit to a new member orientation date, you are committing to a membership. If you are not ready for a membership, take a tour or a class to see what we are all about.

Orientation dates vary depending on what shop you are interested in using. Due to the volunteer time involved in orienting members and providing safety checkouts, we kindly ask that you commit to 3 months of membership when you join. We are only able to keep our membership rates affordable and achievable to our mountain community because of the wonderful team of over 40 volunteers who give nearly 9,000 hours of volunteer service each year.

We hope to see you on a tour or in a future class.
